(smt) The Society for Ethnomusicology will hold its 55th Annual Meeting on November 11-14, 2010, in Los Angeles. The conference theme is “Sound Ecologies.” Following a keen interest in environments and soundscapes, topics will include the following: Music Displacement and Disaster, Music, Copyrights, and Human Rights, Music and Social Activism, Film Music.

6. Fernsehforum für Musik 2010
Vom 10.bis 13. März 2010 findet das nächste internationale Fernsehforum für Musik „The Look of the Sound“ statt. Gemeinsam mit dem Netzwerk Neue Musik veranstaltet, will der diesjährige Schwerpunkt zur Neuen Musik eine Plattform schaffen für Regisseure, Musiker, Veranstalter, Musikredakteure der Sender, Musikwissenschaftler und das interessierte Publikum.
